Still here

The first subject of the morning was a flock of grackles swarming onto West End Avenue. Spooky. There's grass and leaves on the ground, seeds and other tasty bits so they blanketed the lawn and gorged. That set the mood as I headed towards the park.

I think Halloween trimmings will remain up until Thanksgiving.
Munch of 69th Street.

The park is changing. Leaves falling. Lots of ground activity. Bugs under leaves. Tasty.

This was a surprise. Windy day. Cold. Maybe the final cluster of kinglets. No ruby crowns. I heard them before I saw them. Good cover. Blend into leaf colors.
