This is the final fledge from the 4 baby nest. First baby, the runt, was disposed of by parent robins. Second baby fledged prematurely and disappeared. Three days later the last two babies left home. I listened and looked, but only found this fledging. The images speak for themselves.
Had this baby headed in this direction it would have been doomed. It would have been a flight over West End Avenue. Thank God the baby turned in the other direction.
