Tough love

Papa Hawk was calmly preening and resting in a tree when he heard the call of his child. We all heard it, very persistant. The baby found Papa. Scream, scream. Mama arrived. Scream, scream. Translation: I'm hungry. Give me food!!! Both parents did what they knew best, flew away. They know that baby has to learn hunting skills. No lunch from parents this day. Scream, scream, scream, scream, for two hours, scream, SCREAM. There's a result to all the screaming- every edible creature in the area goes into hiding.... no squirrels in sight, no pigeons in sight, no sparrows, robins, mice, etc. Only a couple of beetles and bees, not exactly a hearty meal. I'll post images in two parts, the screaming and later on, the hunting.
