The hooded warbler

The hooded warbler. 5" long. I don't know when I'll ever see a hooded warbler again, so you'll have to be patient with me,..... the out-of-control excitement, the thrill at being able to watch this little treasure close up. He sees a bug and leaps in the air to catch it, does acrobatics shagging fleas and patiently checks under every leaf and branch. I tried getting this treasure in flight, but couldn't get it. I did get the wing flash, but it's not a good picture. The best unique split second is the warbler with tiny worm in mouth and then mouth open. There's no way to anticipate what's going to be where. It's a matter of hiking and wishing and then being hit with a huge amount of LUCK.
