Parsley Delight, Part Two

The change. After eating all that parsley the caterpillars went into a trance, not all at once, over a few days. They spun a silk strand, a sling to hold the body and within 24 hours skin was shed and there was the chrysalis, -some green, some brown,- attached to branches, the wall of the container, and the ceiling. The big fat caterpillars had morphed into an encasement measuring only an average of 1.25". The waiting game began. July 6-14, nothing.

To be continued.................
