Right! I've been waiting to see this behavior. Nest preparation. So what does Mama do? Drops nesting material and goes worm hunting.
But after lunch she resumed gathering nest materials, phew!

One busy palm warbler nibbling opposite Wagner Cove.

Kinglets all around, hard to photograph.

I've seen this yellow bellied sapsucker before. It's making swiss cheese out of this tree.

Fox sparrow up at Tanner's Spring.

Chickadee watching birders.

I was watching something else when this sparrow gang -bang took place, maybe two seconds out in the open and then into the bushes accompanied by a lot of noise.

This was what I was watching when the sparrows so rudely interrupted.

Not exactly a bluejay.
