I decided not to gawk up into the air rather make this a grounder survey. Lots of bugs in the grass. Lots of warblers aware of that. Sweet parula for starters.

I first met up with a blackpoll a few days ago and wasn't sure what was doing wheelies in front of the lens. One of the expert birders clued me in and then added a super ID clue, "Check the feet", so thank you, Debra. Now that's cemented in my brain. Blackpoll has yellow/orange feet. This became a photo challenge: show the feet. This is not easy with bird being a ground feeder.
