NOISY Surprise

I went down to the garden this morning to check up on the babies. All's fine with the robin family. While watching my ears picked up a different call. A supersonic baby starling? A mockingbird imitating a starling baby amplified? My brain knew what it sounded like, but it just couldn't be, not in Manhattan........

But IT SURE COULD BE. A parrot! Most likely an escapee. Somebody left a window open and the parrot took advantage. Freedom! Glorious freedom. It will do well for a while.... warm weather, lots of berries. I've got lots of pictures to edit. I don't think this parrot will fly back home.
