Short stroll

One hour stroll with nothing expected, but even simplicity is beautiful and fun.

Juvenile dunk.

And then I saw something different, a beetle as big as a waterbug. It came out from under the wood chips.

The baby robin watched it. The beetle wiggled its antenae. The robin jumped clear up in the air and then got the hell out of there. Too bad. Beetle may have tasted good, but I don't know never having eaten beetle.

But others like eating. If it's there, it's going to get consumed.

Mouth open, but not for food. For ventilation.

I've got several hundred baby robin pictures to edit....... lots of worms, berries and bugs. It's going to be a two day edit for sure.
