The dove family

The dove family changes by the hour.  I saw the parent catch and eat a fecal sac. This chapter was much funnier.  Parents taps baby on rump to remind it to deliver the "goods".  Parents caught the longest fecal sac in history. I don't know if parent meant for this to be eaten by baby or if it was a new kind of toy. Baby totally uninterested, dangle-dangle-dangle. Ignored. I watched mesmerized and horrified.

Finally baby flapped wings and that was the end of that, probably dropped down into nest.

In the meantime Mama robin broods on her scaffold nest. There should be a hatch any moment.
