Time for food

Remember the sweet peaceful feeding session in nest. Forget that. Now there's one parent and three voracious kids. Food frenzy time, a ballet of browns and greys.  I stood and laughed trying to capture this session.

Don't ask me who's on first.

Shooting at ISO 1600. Impossible to freeze the frenzy.

I'm assuming everyone gets fed.

Parent looks a bit messed up. At one point food/seed bits were spewing forth ignored by kids.

Time to escape, preen a bit and then depart for about 7 hours.

Back to calm.  Obviously well fed. This routine went on for about 8 minutes. The kids only want food straight from parents' mouth. They don't understand peck-and-eat yet.
